Turn your existing WiFi router into 3G Enabled WiFi router
Surprisingly many people didn’t know that most of the WiFi router now a day (with USB port) can use as 3G/LTE WiFi router as well, all you have to is plug in your 3G/LTE dongle to the router USB port (Most are supported Huawei model 3G/LTE dongle)
Make sure your WiFi router firmware is upgraded to the latest version, mine old router DSL-275U do not have that 3G/LTE control panel function until upgraded to SE_1.01. Just visit your router support website and download the latest firmware (According to your model) and upgrade will do.
And you should be able to configure the 3G/LTE dial up setting from the panel.
Most of the time you don’t have to do anything as auto setting will do. But incase need to configure manually, this is how it look like (different ISP may required different setup)
Just like that, your 3G/LTE connection is ready to share via WiFi, you don’t have to buy a brand new 3G/LTE enabled WiFi router for this, especially your old model WiFi router with USB port. Just upgrade the firmware will do.
* My 3G/LTE internet is my backup internet connection when main broadband connection is down. I have two WiFi router at home and this router is my backup router.
