Large screen, more work space. More screens, even more work space.
Samsung 23"inch LCD screen, around RM620
Finally bought the large screen LCD monitor for my desktop work space. Connected with my unibody macbook through mini-display port DVI cable.
It is getting cheaper and cheaper now a day, Samsung 23″inch, around RM620.
终于买了个大尺寸的LCD显示器. 与Macbook经Mini-display port连接.
这玩意越来越便宜，Samsung品牌，现今23″寸只卖RM620，前几年17″inch七百还没得找呢。
it is so nice to have more than two screens for your work space
I like it very much, it is so nice to have more than 2 screens to work, now i can put more stuffs on my mac desktop without need to switch here and there. Exposé? hmm…sometime i will use, but with this. no more. (Windows user must be curious what is Exposé? It is a function in OSX allow Mac user to show and hide desktop with very nice effect. Now Windows vista/7 also have it, something call “auro..”, whatever, it is not something “new”. )
我超喜欢，使用超过两个显示器来工作简直帅呆了，现在我可以在电脑桌面上放更多的东西，不必minimise来maximise去。Expose? 唔…偶尔会用，但以这样的方式来工作，就不必使用Exposé了 (Windows用户一定会好奇，什么Exposé? 那是OSX专有超炫的桌面隐藏显示功能，现在Windows vista/7也开始有了,就是那个什么auro的. 总之不是新东西了）
From left to right, all your stuff are on your desktop
One for reading/composing email, document editing or reference, searching etc.
One for main work station like web surfing, photoshop editing, coding etc.
And another one for twitter, skype, facebook or take note etc.
No need to minise or maximise this and that. So convenient.
一个拿来读电邮、文字文件、做搜寻参考等等。
一个做主要工作的空间(Photoshop就更加方便了）。
那个小的就拿来twitter, skype, take note等之类的。
不用minise来maximise去，“几方便啊你知道没”？
Ok, how i connected 3rd display with MacBook?
Usually laptop will only allow one external display (Not clone screen, but extend your work space from one screen to another). So what if there are 3rd display need to extend? If you are using desktop, i’m sure you can setup that easily with dual/multi-display output graphic card. But laptop? There is no external graphic card.

一般上笔电只提供一个VGA外接（不是clone screen, 而是扩充你的电脑桌面有更宽的工作桌面). 那如果要连接超过一台以上的外接显示器呢？如果你是桌面电脑用户，我相信市场上很多可提供超过两个显示器连接的显示卡。但笔电呢？市场上几乎没有外接显示卡。
所以你需要这个，多萤幕外接转接器:

And it is only unit that i found in Kuching (I’m not really sure any other PC shops are selling this, as this is low-demand product in the market)

I think many of you don’t know about this, you actually can re-arrange your multiple screens by drag and drop in “Display” that in “System preferences”, even can decide which one is main work station, by drag the “white menu bar” from one to another.
