OneTJ shopping mall – can it be lagest ICT Mall in Sarawak?
Most Malaysian knew Plaza Lowyat, and most Singaporean knew SimLim Square or Funan IT mall, recently we have this new ICT Mall in Kuching called – OneTJ ICT shopping mall, in wiki is recorded as : The Sarawak’s first ICT based shopping mall with some 67,500 sq ft (6,270 m2) of leasable area, opened on 22 November 2008.

Since it is open from November last year (2008), and now is about 2 months, and if I’m not wrong, i went there for more than 8 times, most of the time is weekend, but i don’t find it is “happening” …

There are only numbers of shops are open, but by average the empty shop lot still a lots.

You may notice there are numbers of shops are not really put their signboard up yet.

Only few are fully furbished and decor, one of them is our client “Sheerunique.com.my” which have a nice decor and signboard is up. One of their branch is there.

Also the Hong Kuok – more than 15 years history in selling video games and console, one of their branch are there too.

And they do have a food court at the top floor called SaMBa zone, with nice interior and decor

And also provide Free WiFi, but seems like not really working all the time, i only get connected during opening.
There is an optional “deConneXion” WiFi can be use, which is free, but the speed is limited.

To be honest, most of the time i went there just because want to use their WiFi to write a blog, and since they provided the power source.

But don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to be sarcastic to mocking them and want to see they failed to be ICT Mall, I love gadget, and i do enjoy my shopping time in ICT mall, hope they can be “ICT Mall” all the time in future, and crowded like Lowyat in KL. May be we can assume is affected by economic crisis recently, so the result is not what we expected, but what do you think? Let’s see.
