最近身边一些常玩MSN的朋友把这个在网络上转寄到乱的MSN公告电邮也寄给我，我打开看了，除了无奈傻笑，也只能感叹这些人对网络行销的不了解而被欺骗去跟着指示做。内容是这样：

This is Tara and John, the directors of MSN. We would like to sincerely apologize for the interruption, but msn is closing down. We know many of these messages have been sent out lately, and that they wouldn’t be true. However, this one is in fact true, and it will occur soon.
MSN will begin to charge you money soon.

This is due to the fact that too many inconsiderate people are taking up all the names (ie. making up lots of different accounts for just one person). Therefore, we only have 578 names left. If you would like to close your account, DO NOT SEND THIS MESSAGE ON. We would not reccommend this, because if in the future you’d like to use MSN, and you don’t send this message on, you will be CHARGED to use MSN monthly. If you would like to keep your account, then SEND THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST. As we said this before, this is no joke, and we will be shutting down the servers. Please send it on. We do not want to be receiving phone calls stating that your MSN will not open, or that you are being charged for using it - because this will be your fauly for not sending it on. The estimated cost for MSN monthly will be about ten dollars CAN.

拜托，用你清醒的脑袋想想，这么庞大的IT公司，竟然使用这么烂的电邮内容，还align center?!? (把字编排在中间）而且还maroon color?(猪肝红色）还用“MSN account”或”Hotmail account”而不是完整的“Microsoft MSN”/”Microsoft Hotmail”为主题。而且结尾还

我的天，竟然有人会信？算了，我能明白你的焦虑，但请你在把我的电邮加入前，为我想一想，这么烂的公告电邮的可信度好不好？我知道它有附带一篇由BBC News的新闻连接：

但麻烦你去读清楚内容再了解一下到底是不是与该电邮内容有关好不好？如果你看不懂，可以尝试使用Google Translate，就算是直接的翻译，内容也与删除MSN帐号无关啊～

太多人不了解online marketing的运作，所以他们照指示做，却不知在这背后有人在收集你们的电邮，并且把这些电邮作为商业用途来赚取盈利，比如把电邮的资料库卖给那些有兴趣做online marketing的买家，本地就有一家，我暂不告发，Google自己会对付他们。

劝你下次清醒点，不清楚可以来信问我，不然上当的是你。害的是我，因为我却要收到更多的垃圾邮件！！

Mac pro ultra mini? 迷你的Mac pro?

Nope, it is not from Apple, not China too, and definitely it is not a Mac Pro mini. It just a mac fans who modified a broken MacBook, took it aparts and do some modification, become a small tiny multimedia machine.

不是，它绝对不是来自Apple，也不是中国，更加不是真正的Mac Pro mini. 它只是由一个Mac发烧友，使用坏掉的MacBook的零件改装而成的多媒体小型电脑。

Where the casing come from? It is a Maccally G-S350SUA Aluminum External Enclosure (for 3.5 hard disk) that look like a Mac Pro.

也许你会好奇那外壳从哪里来？其实是一个类似Mac Pro设计的外接硬碟的壳。

Some of you knew Mac OSX Leopard is able to run from PC, but required some hacks. Refer to my old post : OSX Leopard on PC - 在PC运行OSX - Hackintosh

Many of them just hack the OS, without changing the casing or the appearance of their Laptop (well you know, hold a Acer/Dell laptop but run OSX Leopard, it just look a bit weird.）But some people they just like to mod stuff, and this Taiwanese guy managed to mod a MSI Netbook U100 become a mini MacBook, he called it as “MacBook Nano”.

但大部分的人都不过是改装OS，很少会去把外壳和键盘也做改装。（你也明白如果你抱着的是Acer/Dell笔电，但运行OSX Leopard，就是怎么看都怪怪的）但有些人就是喜欢改装，好像这位台湾人把MSI netbook U100改装成Mini MacBook，并称它为”MacBook Nano”.

He done pretty well i think, I wouldn’t mind to get one if this is really sell from the market. Haha, but i believe soon or later those China business man going to clone this.

我猜他应该做得不错，我不介意买一台如果市场上有卖的话。哈哈，但我相信很快那些中国翻版商会看到这商机。

But if you really need a Mac, buy real Mac. If you have a budget limit, Mac Mini or refurbished mac is a budget choice. Because if you really want a maximize performance Mac, real one is always better than hack one, i ever tried to built one for testing purpose, from my personal experienced, i would say real Mac is much more better than hack one.

但如果你真的需要一台苹果，买真的苹果吧，如果你有经济上的限制，也许可以考虑Mac Mini或refurbished mac，会是不错的选择。因为如果你真的要一台完全发挥苹果OSX效能的机器，真的永远比hack的好，我尝试过做一台翻的来做测试用途，按我个人经验来看，我会说真的Mac永远必hack的好多多。

Extend MacBook desktop to LCD when work in studio. 当在工作室时外接MacBook到LCD银幕工作

I always extend my laptop desktop screen to the external LCD screen, especially when work from the studio. I used to use my PowerBook G4 to connected to the LCD screen and work, but it may slow down the system, so seldom use it. But now since i use a new MacBook, the speed is so much different, 13″inch are design for a portable reason, if you work from studio, it is better to connect a external LCD screen, say 17″inch above, to extend the desktop working space, you will feel much more comfortable.

一直以来都有习惯使用外接LCD银幕工作，尤其是在工作室使用笔电时，但以前的Powerbook如果外接LCD银幕，系统好像有点被拖慢的感觉，所以很少用，现在转换新版MacBook，速度也变快很多，13″inch还是比较适合在外出工作时使用，在工作室里，还是外接17寸或以上的LCD银幕工作会比较舒服。

Of course, i’m not using “mirror display” but “extend desktop space”, which mean i can have more wide screen to work on, so i can use my LCD screen for library image search, web browsing, email reading, chatting, debugging etc. And still work on my MacBook 13″inch screen when needed. So i don’t have to use those “Spaces” app, windows switching or minimize method to switch window.

But on disadvantage : more radiation effect~!!!

当然，我不是使用”mirror display”，而是”extend desktop”把桌面扩大到另外一个萤幕，这样我的LCD银幕就可以拿来浏览图片Library、网页、电邮、聊天、做测试等等，然后在MacBook的13寸银幕上做其它作业。而不必使用那些switch视窗，还是minimize window的方法来作业，方便很多。

但有一个坏处，就是…..更多的辐射～！！！

记得之前我说提起过的这两篇有关FPS的解说吗？

就是类似The Matrix电影里那些”子弹时间”效果，方法是在演员周围布置了几十个数码相机从各个角度每毫秒捕捉他的状态,最后才合成为我们看到的效果，之后有很多电影广告纷纷模仿。

基本上那些都是我们都能够了解的拍摄方法，但你能够想象以下这个由Toshiba聘请了广告代理制作了一个”子弹时间”的翻版，称之为”雕刻时光”（timesculpture）是怎么做到的吗？不是单靠电脑后期制作哦，拍摄可真是个考人的功夫，试想象，你要怎么在这么多人而又那么多复杂的动作里，把每个入的动作细节以360度拍摄下来呢？还反复倒退前进播放。

据说这用来宣传Toshiba的XDE技术。他们动用了200台Toshiba Gigashot数码摄像机，采集了20000GB的数据，制作了这个视频。怕了没？

Smlue always created a very cool and fun iPhone app, like this Ocarina, the first true musical instrument created for the iPhone. Is a simple application which transforms your iPhone into an ancient wind instrument that you can actually play. The controls are simple enough. Four dots represent holes in a traditional ocarina. Holding down the holes in combination or by themselves changes the pitch, creating notes.

I never satisfied with my local internet broadband connection speed, slow like a snail and yet they claim they are No.1 in Malaysia. Ya, sure no.1, since there is only 1 in wide coverage among all the states. Do we have a choice here in Sarawak?

However, if you need to test your broadband speed, use Speedtest.net then, the graphic and the result is very nice and they let you choose or recommend you which country’s server to test.

我很常对本地的网络宽频速度感到不满，慢到像蜗牛那么慢还敢说他们是全马第一，当然第一，才那么一家覆盖全马各洲，我们还有其它选择吗？尤其是沙捞越。

如果你要测试你的宽频速度，可以使用这个Speedtest.net网站，它有很酷的界面而且结果也蛮准确，而且他们还会建议你或让你选择哪个国家的服务器进行测试。
