Sources close to Adobe that have been briefed on the company’s future development plans have revealed this forthcoming announcement to ZDNet:

Our future work with Flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling Flash developers to package native apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores. We will no longer adapt Flash Player for mobile devices to new browser, OS version or device configurations. Some of our source code licensees may opt to continue working on and releasing their own implementations. We will continue to support the current Android and PlayBook configurations with critical bug fixes and security updates.

Additionally, the e-mail briefing to Adobe’s partners has been summed up as follows:

• Adobe is Stopping development on Flash Player for browsers on mobile.

Adobe is now focusing their development efforts on:

• Applications for mobile
• Expressive content on the desktop (in and out of browser)
• Increasing their investments in HTML5 in general

The full content and scope of the announcement is expected to be posted on the Adobe web site in the next day.

Firefox 4 just released, and they claim it as 6 times faster than previous version. If you haven’t upgrade, go and grab one, it seems like lots of improvement.

Competition is good, it bring us more choice to choose the products we want. I know recently IE9 is released, but I’m Mac person, not really care about new version of IE, what i only wish is the IE is transform into webkit platform, but we knew that is impossible. So i don’t even care to mention about it.

However, I’m using Safari as my primary web browser most of the time, the main reason is because of to be easy to sync all bookmarks with my iOS device, other than that, i still find FireFox or Google Chrome is better choice as a major web browser for PC/Mac user. Seems like FireFox 4 going to be my first choice now.

Introduction

Cloud storage is a new trends in IT world start from few years ago, comparing with traditional data storage solution (USB/HDD/NAS etc), Cloud storage is more dynamic and portable to use, since it does not restricted by the hardware/distance, some may be limtied by the service provider only.

Perhaps the major concern is the privacy/security from the service provider, but now a day, does people really care? Look at the service provided by Google, people just put their stuff/emails/documents/private stuff there. And don’t even care whether staff from Google will take their stuff to use for other purposes.

However, personally, i think think some stuff i will not let it access from the internet, as even i’m IT person, i don’t trust the machine, or people behind it.

Options

There are may cloud sync/sharing storage service from internet, and many of them are free. To me, i will use all of them, because each of them have their own strength and benefit. Most importantly, they all provide free minimum 1-2GB as starter account without charges, so why not since it is FREE?

This comparison is posted by SugarSync, seems like SugarSync is offering more features than others. However, personally, i like ZumoDrive Interface, especially the music player.

Seesmic desktop

One thing i like Seesmic desktop is it allow you to manage multiple facebook page. Highly recommend for those who manage lots of Facebook Page, this tool will help you save a lot of time.

TweetDeck

TweetDeck is one of the most popular Twitter desktop clients, and now also support Facebook, Google Buzz, LinkedIn etc.

* Both Seesmic and Tweedeck is Adobe Air App, which mean you need to install Adobe Air first to run these app. Adobe Air is cross platform application. Can run in Mac or Pc or other platform. And both have their own good.

I just tried a test run on Google Chrome OS developer built version (Should be available to public soon). Overall, it is pretty fast and light (about 800MB). Since everything was running from the Web, some people called it as Web OS. As all google services are running from Web browser instead of desktop software.

I’m not sure how far this one can do, but it is pretty cool idea to get everyone running their application through Web Browser, without installation process.
However, don’t expect too much about the UI design, since it is based on Google, everything was “Google” style.

我不确定这会进展到什么程度，但它是个不错的点子来鼓励用户使用网络上的程式而非传统安装在硬碟上的方式。
当然，在UI上的设计不是那么华丽，因为它是以Linux + Google Chrome的架构为主，整个系统都是Google的风格。
