I discovered i only post a blog post when i really mad and pissing off by something else. And that is really unhealthy, but since this is not political topic, and complaint to them seems like useless. Might as well just blog it.

In Malaysia, there is only one wide coverage Fixed line Broadband service provider, their awesome name is called Streamyx, TM NET – By Telekom Malaysia. EVERYONE IN MALAYSIA knew them, even those who never use broadband services. Because they are WELL-KNOWN : in terms of “quality of the service”

They do have an advertisement something like this (so “gay” huh?):

(DAP) Jeff Ooi’s Adjournment Speech. during 18th June 2009 – Monopoly of TM Net is not for the benefit of Malaysians.:

* But seems useless, as we didn’t see anything improvement after that.

Same as Chong Chieng Jen (DAP, Kuching, Sarawak), voiced the frustration of Streamyx users in Parliament

* Same, useless, we didn’t see anything improvement after that.

Even our local TV channel – NTV 7, have a show for them:

Part 1

Part 2

Part 3

And they are introducing their new high speed broadband service since last year called UNIFI:

Imagine? Our neighbor – Singapore already using high speed broadband for more than 5 years! And UniFi will only expand to east Malaysia from year 2012….what? Another 2 years?

Even the map they use for this “Checking service availability” page, are showing east malaysia need to wait “long long”.

You will never understand how disappointed it is for IT person who worked rely on this kind of broadband services. Especially when the service is suck and “aweful” for 11 years. I’m really disappointed and they leaving us no choice.

i’m going to switch to other wireless broadband service provider this year, say WiMax or YES broadband when it is available no matter what. Everyday i just pray i can get a smooth and working internet connection, so i can work. Otherwise, i really felt like ban on table like this guy:

I don’t know why they picked a chinese actor as a customer to ban on table, most complaint customer is chinese in Malaysia? I don’t think so :p.

I only spend less than 10 minutes to write this blog, but spend more than 30 minutes to search for relevant videos, including waiting for the page loading…. my goodness…

Back to work, PRAY FOR US, for better broadband~

If you are malaysian, you probably heard/seen these two advertisement war, P1 W1max launched a series of “Potong” (cut) campaign to boost their sales and subscribers. Some people may find it doesn’t sounds right and a bit sensitive, as it may give you a wrong perception about “Sunak”… (castration). But it is fun, personally i think that is really sarcastic and i like it, just don’t know why, perhaps i hate that broadband ISP so much, who always claim itself as Malaysia No.1 Broadband provider, that’s why.

Advertisement in newspaper, magazine

Radio

YouTube Part 1

Part 2

Now this so called Malaysia No.1 broadband service provider – TM Net Streamyx start fight back with their campaign which telling people why cut? If you hear in radio advertisement, there ‘s a mother scolding her son : “Why cut? Cut liao so slow and “Cut your head la! / “割你的头啦” / “potong kepala kau”.

现在这个一直说自己是全马第一的宽频公司也开始一系列反击的广告，告诉用户们”为什么要割“？如果你有留意电台播放的广告，某声段是一个母亲一直骂她儿子：“不是割了吗？为什么还是这么慢？….哎呀～割什么割？割你的头啦～”

FYI, they use a guy looks like Michael Lai (P1 W1MAX CEO) in their advertisement

Ok, here are conclusion, who are really suck then? Well, they both suck! Want to find out more? Read here
好，现在来个总结，那家比起差？哈～两家都一样差！不信？读这里

Hate it with passion!

If you are my reader, you should know i hate TM with passion, or you can check my post from this tag : http://henstudio.com/v2/tag/TM_Nut/

If you are Malaysian, you should know about our so called No.1 Broadband provider. Else, you can read here (from the Star newspaper website) :

Disappointed with Streamyx services

I love this paragraph :
“As one who has travelled extensively and enjoyed broadband services in other countries, it pains me to see the sad state in Malaysia. When I speak of Streamyx with Americans, Australians or even Singaporeans, they find it laughable that I pay the same as they do but receive 10 times less the service.

It has been my sincere hope for years that a new, major ISP will emerge in Malaysia which will give TM Net a run for its money. Without any such competition, I believe that TM Net will continue offering low quality service while billing itself as a premier ISP….”

You can try to search this keyword from Google, i think this search query might be top search query in Malaysia.

Celcom 3.5G HSDPA. failed too!

So i was looking for alternative (lots of Malaysian doing this), and i thought Celcom 3.5G can surprise me, unfortunately it is not!

I used to wrote a good review about Celcom 3.5G HSDPA broadband, and I’m so regretful by posting that positive review. It just disappointed me after using it for more than 3 months. Most of the time, i won’t be able to get above 1.5MB speed, and most of time, it is same as 3G speed, which is less than 0.30 Mb/s !!!! Refer screenshot below (Speed test result)

0.29 Mbps?!? What’s the different with 3G then? What for i pay another extra RM30 for subscribe the 3.5G that same speed with 3G? !!?

Some people said, if this kind of service is launching in Singapore, that company can closing down within a month. If it is from US, people there can sue them and the company have to apologize by posting an notice on newspaper/television etc.

In Malaysia? Complain also useless, you only can learn to “Get use to it! You have no other choice!” This is MALAYSIA. Satu Malaysia, Satu Fixed Line No.1 Broadband.
