Net Monitor – monitor your celcom 3G/3.5G or other network usage
Not all 3G/3.5G modem software come with network usage monitoring features, the one i got is Sierra Wireless Watchers for OSX (Mac/Apple), it only allow you to monitor your usage per session, when you close the application, the records will be reset to 0, which mean you can’t trace total of the usage, also, it is unable (at the moment) to send/receive SMS, although i can call 1300-11-000 or sms to 1111 to check my usage, but what if I’m not a Celcom voice call user?
I need to keep on monitoring my network usage as i don’t want soon or later when it reach the usage limit which is 5GB max and automatically become EDGE connection (this is limited by Celcom).
Net Monitor
This OSX application : Net Monitor solve my problem, it allows you to monitor your network usage with graph, log file, report etc.
And you can calculate the total of your network usage by date.
Not just 3G/3.5G network, you can monitor all your other connection as well.
Net Monitor for OSX is not free, you can download and try the trial version, but it just cost USD 10 for a single license, which is fair enough.
