Inkscape is an excellent free vector graphics editor for OS X, with capabilities similar to Illustrator, Freehand, CorelDraw, or Xara X using the W3C standard Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) file format. It imports formats such as JPEG, PNG, TIFF and others. It also exports PNG as well as multiple vector based formats. You can also download over 15,000 pieces of clipart from their site by clicking here.
There are also versions available for Panther, Tiger, Leopard, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows 2003, Microsoft Windows XP and Linux.
