Apple iPhone not going to official launch in Malaysia!!~

Youtube:
You can check from their official site too:
So Malaysian, if you planning to buy an iphone 3G, you may have to buy from those black market, or ebay, mudah.com.my, lelong etc.
I wonder how much it will cost when it come to asia? Must be more expensive than other countries.
I wonder why? Apple don’t like Malaysia? Or our telecommunication company have failed to negotiate with Apple to bring iPhone to Malaysia?

The price might be RM3000 for the black market set. Malaysia is still not in the list of the countries for iPhone. What a pity.

RM3000? You sure? Now the 1st generation 8GB iphone only cost RM1700, even 16GB only RM2200. RM3000 for 2nd generation? That’s impossible.
I would say when it is available from ebay/auction website or black market, the price will be less than RM2500.
Any above this price, people rather to ask Singaporean friend help them to get one. Since there are many people in Singapore always renew their contract and resell the mobile phone

However, what i concern is, when iPhone3G came to Asia. Does International warranty apply to our local reseller for iPhone? Because current 1st Generation iphone are without warranty in Malaysia (if you bought from any shops/website)
If so,that will be easy for us (customer), since if our iphone is broken, the reseller can help us send back to Singapore or a country that do repair.
Otherwise, come on~spend over RM2000 to bought a device that is not with warranty? What’s the different with China brand mobile phone then?

Ya, at least Singapore will have it, it will be easier for us should we happen to get one from Singapore. I really hope Malaysia will soon have its iPhone official launch. If we have official launch, the unsubsidised set might be around RM2000+ a bit. Looking at the current high demands for iPhone 3G and the lunatic journalisms about iPhone 3G before its announcement, I still believe if we get a black market set this few months, we will be looking at the price of iPhone 3G around RM3000 or less.
If there is no official launch here, any set we get will not be supported by local Apple store, such as my iPhone first generation, no support here. Anything happened, I would be on my own. haha. I am quite confident about Apple’s product. Have been user of Apple products since young age on and off, nothing faulty happened before for my case.
