I seldom talk about my PSP Slim (more than 4 months),
today im gonna share a small review about how cool this gadget is.

For less than RM700, can get a portable player that able to play 3D games, view photos, listening music, watch movie, use built-in Wi-Fi to surf internet, with TV-Out to play game/watch movie on your LCD TV, and better battery life. This is worth and better than any other portable device/MP3/MP4 players in the market.

The Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo is getting cheaper now, mine is 4GB, only cost RM160 few months ago.
And it is enough for you to carry lots of MP3, with few movies/games when you are travelling.

One thing i like PSP more than iPod Touch is, the cable that connect to TV is just less than RM50 (Composite cable!) But if iPod Touch/iPhone, it will cost you more than RM200 for the cable itself!! Apple…always expensive.

The output quality is acceptable if your movie compression screen size is 368×208, for better quality should compress as 480×272 screen size, but to play 480×272 screen size movie and mod games required “Homebrew” Firmware. i use Ultra PSP Movie Converter and my firmware are 3.90 M33-3.

But if you connect to TV and play game, the screen will resize to 70% smaller than your TV screen size, may be SONY do this because they want you to know there is a different between PS2/PS3 and PSP?

The 2nd generation PSP (Slim) come with Wifi and TV-Out features, you can use your PSP connect to LCD-TV , lying on your sofa to surfnet, or watch YouTube if you want. (You have to install PSPTube application).

There is a Google Map application as well.

Wonder how to input since there is no keyboard? Well, there is a screen keypad,
of coz it is not touch screen, you will have to use the analog key to move and
enter the button to select character:

And it can be very secure car-audio player as well, since it can be remove when you are away from your car

Just buy a holder, if you need charger there is a car charger as well. Connect the headjack with 3.5mm headphone headjack and connect to your FM Emulator/Amplifier/or any Audio-in device in your car.
The PSP become a cool car audio player!

With cool visual player, it really look cool when at night!

If you are reading this, and you are a gadget boy/girl, guess you must be planning to buy one. However, just personal advice, for those who easy to get addicted to video games, better don’t buy, otherwise you will hook up with the PSP day and night, even Pang Sai!

In a website hosting deal, unless the web server works in an optimum fashion with the dsl, hosting up your web site design is a major blunder.

I’m mac person, when i switch to mac 4 years ago (Since OSX 10.3), I will never consider to switch back to Windows PC, unless i need to do BT download, open applications or access website that required to running from Windows PC, otherwise, there are no reasons i need to switch back.

Apple products are awesome and quality are better…but really expensive. Few years ago I bought this 15″inch Powerbook G4 laptop, it cost me around SGD3,999 when i was in Singapore. Now people will use the same price to buy a new model called “Macbook pro”, and of coz, the spec are so much different.

Since it is more than 4 years, and it ever drop on the floor quite a few time. There are lots of scratches around but it still working fine:

Everything are fine inside, except the RAM slot broken issue, which is known by all Powerbook G4 user. Can refer from this article: “15″ PowerBook G4 Lower Memory Slot Problem Revisited”

Which i also missed out the “PowerBook G4 (15-inch 1.67/1.5GHz) Memory Slot Repair Extension Program” last year to send for repair.

However, since one RAM slot is broken, i can still use another slot (Max 2 slots), but the original RAM only 512MB, and i really can’t stand when sometime i do some movie/animation rendering job, the speed are so slow. So few months ago i went to upgrade the RAM memory to 1GB (Which is maximum for one slot). What to do? You will never want to replace the whole motherboard just because of that broken RAM slot, it will cost you more than one Mac Mini price to do replacing!

The power adapter just broken last week, and i’m looking for a new one from Kuching Mac store/shop, but none of them are selling this accessory and they have to order from west malaysia, which may take more than 2 weeks. And i cannot wait for that long, also, it cost me around RM400! just for this tiny little thing which supply 60W to your powerbook.

So i borrow the 3rd party power adapter from a friend called John Huang (Studio Yolk), thank God, he is using the 3rd pary power adapter too, which bought from auction website, just cost him around RM280. And i got a contact from John, to call the person to order the OEM power adapter, the person will send the item within this week.

At the same time, my DVI to VGA converter also broken:

which i use it to connect to my LCD TV/Screen to work/watch movie sometime. Puh~…have to spend another RM50 for this cable. (S-Video cable still can use, but not sharp if connected to TV.)

Puh~~ my money~~ $$$ ~~ petrol raise ~~ baby coming ~~ aduh~

If you planning to buy iPhone, make sure the local Mac store are able to do repairing or they willing to help you send the iPhone back to the Mac store (other country) that cover with iPhone International warranty. I’m Not kidding man, can you imagine how much it cost for the iPhone battery? I’m not sure, what i know is, my Powerbook G4 battery cost me RM700 in Malaysia.

So Malaysian, if you planning to buy an iphone 3G, you may have to buy from those black market, or ebay, mudah.com.my, lelong etc.

I wonder how much it will cost when it come to asia? Must be more expensive than other countries.
I wonder why? Apple don’t like Malaysia? Or our telecommunication company have failed to negotiate with Apple to bring iPhone to Malaysia?

iPhone 3G, anyone? hei~ July 3rd is my birthday~ :p
我很随便的，iPhone？不好意思啦～

很多次当我把名片递给人时，他们总会好奇我为何用“Hen”注册为我的identity，
我可以明白他们为什么好奇这个字眼，毕竟它的意思是“母鸡”。

其实理由只是很简单，我的小名叫”Hen”，从小到大家里就这样叫我，小学也有些同学拿我小名来开玩笑，叫我“Chicken Hen”，小时候很讨厌被这样称呼，但现在大了，不觉得怎样了，反而觉得这名字还蛮可爱。

后来自己要注册一个公司，在想identity时，红色和白色是我的主要颜色，只差名字还没想到。后面一定是Design Studio，但名字要特出，要让人印象深刻…

想着想着，干脆就用”Hen”好了，因为母鸡的头冠不是红色吗？而且有一种白身红头冠的母鸡，刚好很适合我的主题颜色，况且母鸡不是很会生蛋吗？生蛋就是”Productive”的意思啊，还有一点点的幽默感，就干脆使用Hen作为Identity了，谁说identity一定要死死板板？

而在Wiki那里的解释，可以很多. 但全都无关。

当然，这和西方国家的Hen Party/Hen’s night是无关的。

也和PSP的Homebrew comunity无关，更加和日本的Manga无关.
