Ya，i knew iPhone/iPod touch 2.2 firmware is released, i knew the new upgraded features are:

• Enhancements to Google Map, Google Street View
• Public transit and walking directions
• Display address of dropped pins
• Share location via email
• Decrease in call setup failures and dropped calls– Enhancements to Mail
• Resolved isolated issues with scheduled fetching of email
• Improved formatting of wide HTML email
• Podcasts are now available for download in iTunes application (over Wi-Fi and cellular network)
• Improved stability and performance of Safari
• Improved sound quality of Visual Voicemail messages
• Pressing Home button from any Home screen displays the first Home screen
• Preference to turn on/off auto-correction in Keyboard Settings

But if you are Jailbreak iPhone user, and you still need those applications which can only run from Jailbreak iPhone, don’t upgrade 1st, wait for the iPhone jailbreak dev item to look into the details first. These are their advice :

• Pwnage technique (and therefore the Jailbreak) isn’t affected, but PwnageTool and QuickPwn do not support this release as yet, so DO NOT install 2.2 using iTunes as you will lose your jailbreak
• If you apply this update and you previously relied on PwnageTool or QuickPwn to activate your phone, it may become temporarily deactivated and unusable (until we release the new version of PwnageTool or QuickPwn).
• If you apply this update and you have third-party (non AppStore) applications  that you rely on they will stop working.

So just wait for a moment, don’t panic, good thing must wait, i want my iPhone to be use Cycorder to record video, no matter what, i won’t use original official firmware that unable to install 3rd party “kicked out from App Store” apps.

简单来说先不要紧张升级iPhone2.2固件，如果你是使用“越狱版”iPhone/iPod Touch，因为可能会导致到你无法在jailbreak了或使用那些被“踢出”app store的软件了，如Cycorder录影软件。按iPhone jailbreak team的指示与回应，耐心等待一阵子，我们很快就可以使用2.2版，我会等，毕竟我要我的iPhone可以使用Cycorder and Swirly MMS这些软件，不然我的iPhone好傻，竟然不能录影。

Where the casing come from? It is a Maccally G-S350SUA Aluminum External Enclosure (for 3.5 hard disk) that look like a Mac Pro.

I’m not sure the performance but this guy really awesome if he really did this.

Some of you knew Mac OSX Leopard is able to run from PC, but required some hacks. Refer to my old post : OSX Leopard on PC - 在PC运行OSX - Hackintosh

Many of them just hack the OS, without changing the casing or the appearance of their Laptop (well you know, hold a Acer/Dell laptop but run OSX Leopard, it just look a bit weird.）But some people they just like to mod stuff, and this Taiwanese guy managed to mod a MSI Netbook U100 become a mini MacBook, he called it as “MacBook Nano”.

但大部分的人都不过是改装OS，很少会去把外壳和键盘也做改装。（你也明白如果你抱着的是Acer/Dell笔电，但运行OSX Leopard，就是怎么看都怪怪的）但有些人就是喜欢改装，好像这位台湾人把MSI netbook U100改装成Mini MacBook，并称它为”MacBook Nano”.

He done pretty well i think, I wouldn’t mind to get one if this is really sell from the market. Haha, but i believe soon or later those China business man going to clone this.

But if you really need a Mac, buy real Mac. If you have a budget limit, Mac Mini or refurbished mac is a budget choice. Because if you really want a maximize performance Mac, real one is always better than hack one, i ever tried to built one for testing purpose, from my personal experienced, i would say real Mac is much more better than hack one.

但如果你真的需要一台苹果，买真的苹果吧，如果你有经济上的限制，也许可以考虑Mac Mini或refurbished mac，会是不错的选择。因为如果你真的要一台完全发挥苹果OSX效能的机器，真的永远比hack的好，我尝试过做一台翻的来做测试用途，按我个人经验来看，我会说真的Mac永远必hack的好多多。

I always extend my laptop desktop screen to the external LCD screen, especially when work from the studio. I used to use my PowerBook G4 to connected to the LCD screen and work, but it may slow down the system, so seldom use it. But now since i use a new MacBook, the speed is so much different, 13″inch are design for a portable reason, if you work from studio, it is better to connect a external LCD screen, say 17″inch above, to extend the desktop working space, you will feel much more comfortable.

一直以来都有习惯使用外接LCD银幕工作，尤其是在工作室使用笔电时，但以前的Powerbook如果外接LCD银幕，系统好像有点被拖慢的感觉，所以很少用，现在转换新版MacBook，速度也变快很多，13″inch还是比较适合在外出工作时使用，在工作室里，还是外接17寸或以上的LCD银幕工作会比较舒服。

Of course, i’m not using “mirror display” but “extend desktop space”, which mean i can have more wide screen to work on, so i can use my LCD screen for library image search, web browsing, email reading, chatting, debugging etc. And still work on my MacBook 13″inch screen when needed. So i don’t have to use those “Spaces” app, windows switching or minimize method to switch window.

But on disadvantage : more radiation effect~!!!

当然，我不是使用”mirror display”，而是”extend desktop”把桌面扩大到另外一个萤幕，这样我的LCD银幕就可以拿来浏览图片Library、网页、电邮、聊天、做测试等等，然后在MacBook的13寸银幕上做其它作业。而不必使用那些switch视窗，还是minimize window的方法来作业，方便很多。

但有一个坏处，就是…..更多的辐射～！！！
