Nope, it is not from Apple, not China too, and definitely it is not a Mac Pro mini. It just a mac fans who modified a broken MacBook, took it aparts and do some modification, become a small tiny multimedia machine.

不是，它绝对不是来自Apple，也不是中国，更加不是真正的Mac Pro mini. 它只是由一个Mac发烧友，使用坏掉的MacBook的零件改装而成的多媒体小型电脑。

Where the casing come from? It is a Maccally G-S350SUA Aluminum External Enclosure (for 3.5 hard disk) that look like a Mac Pro.

Some of you knew Mac OSX Leopard is able to run from PC, but required some hacks. Refer to my old post : OSX Leopard on PC - 在PC运行OSX - Hackintosh

Many of them just hack the OS, without changing the casing or the appearance of their Laptop (well you know, hold a Acer/Dell laptop but run OSX Leopard, it just look a bit weird.）But some people they just like to mod stuff, and this Taiwanese guy managed to mod a MSI Netbook U100 become a mini MacBook, he called it as “MacBook Nano”.

但大部分的人都不过是改装OS，很少会去把外壳和键盘也做改装。（你也明白如果你抱着的是Acer/Dell笔电，但运行OSX Leopard，就是怎么看都怪怪的）但有些人就是喜欢改装，好像这位台湾人把MSI netbook U100改装成Mini MacBook，并称它为”MacBook Nano”.

But if you really need a Mac, buy real Mac. If you have a budget limit, Mac Mini or refurbished mac is a budget choice. Because if you really want a maximize performance Mac, real one is always better than hack one, i ever tried to built one for testing purpose, from my personal experienced, i would say real Mac is much more better than hack one.

但如果你真的需要一台苹果，买真的苹果吧，如果你有经济上的限制，也许可以考虑Mac Mini或refurbished mac，会是不错的选择。因为如果你真的要一台完全发挥苹果OSX效能的机器，真的永远比hack的好，我尝试过做一台翻的来做测试用途，按我个人经验来看，我会说真的Mac永远必hack的好多多。

I always extend my laptop desktop screen to the external LCD screen, especially when work from the studio. I used to use my PowerBook G4 to connected to the LCD screen and work, but it may slow down the system, so seldom use it. But now since i use a new MacBook, the speed is so much different, 13″inch are design for a portable reason, if you work from studio, it is better to connect a external LCD screen, say 17″inch above, to extend the desktop working space, you will feel much more comfortable.

一直以来都有习惯使用外接LCD银幕工作，尤其是在工作室使用笔电时，但以前的Powerbook如果外接LCD银幕，系统好像有点被拖慢的感觉，所以很少用，现在转换新版MacBook，速度也变快很多，13″inch还是比较适合在外出工作时使用，在工作室里，还是外接17寸或以上的LCD银幕工作会比较舒服。

Of course, i’m not using “mirror display” but “extend desktop space”, which mean i can have more wide screen to work on, so i can use my LCD screen for library image search, web browsing, email reading, chatting, debugging etc. And still work on my MacBook 13″inch screen when needed. So i don’t have to use those “Spaces” app, windows switching or minimize method to switch window.

But on disadvantage : more radiation effect~!!!

当然，我不是使用”mirror display”，而是”extend desktop”把桌面扩大到另外一个萤幕，这样我的LCD银幕就可以拿来浏览图片Library、网页、电邮、聊天、做测试等等，然后在MacBook的13寸银幕上做其它作业。而不必使用那些switch视窗，还是minimize window的方法来作业，方便很多。

但有一个坏处，就是…..更多的辐射～！！！

Bootcamp, parallels

I always have to do web browser compatible checking for the website that i design, IE6/IE7 (when they will death?), firefox, opera, safari (these 3 always my favorites) etc. But to test IE6/IE7, must use a microsoft Windows since it is for Windows only. (Ya, built-in and force people to use it)

Thanks for the Intel-Mac, running a Bootcamp or Parrellel allow you to run Windows XP/Vista from your Mac. But do you really need Windows? For me i don’t, i just give 10GB for Windows space, and for testing purpose only. For work, i will prefer to switch to Mac, for this reason, i seldom use BootCamp (completely run Windows from your Intel-Mac), so i use Parrellel to run the Windows XP (Run Windows as a virtual machine in OSX Leopard. Why not vista? No need thank you) for Web browser checking purpose.

每当完成一个设计后，我很常需要做网页浏览器检查，以确定网页的设计与各类的浏览器兼容，像微软的IE6/IE7 (这几时会停版啊？）、火狐、Opera、Safari（这三个是我的最爱）等. 但如果做IE6/IE7的测试，一定要使用微软视窗才可以，因为它是微软视窗内建的，而且微软视窗专用（其实是逼人用，逼那些不懂安装其他浏览器的人用）

感谢Intel-Mac，使用Bootcamp或Parrellel容许你在你的苹果电脑里运行Windows XP/ Vista。但你真的需要Windows吗？对我而言根本不需要，我只给Windows 10GB的容量，因为只拿来做测试。工作上，我还是使用Mac，因着这样，我很少使用BootCamp（完全运行WIndows) ，我大部分使用Parrellel运行Windows XP (可以在OSX里同时运行Windows, 好像把Windows当作是个小程序这样, 为什么不是Vista? 不用了谢谢）做测试用途。

You can go back in time to retrieve your files and back to today for your incidentally removed files from your hard disk. or completely restore the whole system, and it is so much different with the Windows built-in “System restore”, System restore is stupid, always become virus attack helper.

你可以随时回到过去把不小心删除的文件、档案拿回来（这和Edison事件无关吧？），或完全把整个硬碟恢复到过去的备份，而且它和Windows的”System restore”是完全不同的！因为System restore太笨了，很容易成为病毒的帮凶。

I’m not trying to convince you to switch to Mac，Apple not paying me for this, just to show you which one is smart, and why apple user can work “peacefully”. However, if you are Windows fans, don’t attack me here, attack me from your Blog, coz I’m apple fans.
